Northern Iowa @ Nebraska Recap
Nebraska handled Northern Iowa 30-6 at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln on January 3, 2026, cruising to a 24-point dual victory. The Cornhuskers piled up the kind of bonus-point offense that decides these meets, and the tide never really turned back in favor of the Panthers.
The decisive stretch came in the upper weights when Chance Lamer (#14) ran up a 19-4 technical fall at 149 pounds and Antrell Taylor (#4) followed with a 22-6 technical fall at 157. Those two bonus wins provided a double five-point swing that put Nebraska well ahead and forced Northern Iowa to chase points for the remainder of the night.
Nebraska added to the margin with Christopher Minto (#6) earning a 10-1 major decision at 174, and the Cornhuskers closed the scoring with a 16-7 major decision at 285 by Harley Andrews. The four bonus victories supplied 18 team points and made Northern Iowa’s comeback window very small.
Northern Iowa did grab a notable individual result, but it was not enough to change the outcome. Overall Nebraska’s combination of technical falls and majors separated the teams and delivered a comfortable conference win at home.
