Davidson @ Appalachian State Recap
Appalachian State Men's Wrestling blanked Davidson Men's Wrestling 52-0 in Boone, North Carolina on February 16, 2025. The Mountaineers piled up bonus points all night, finishing with a dominating team score that left Davidson scoreless.
The dual was decided by a string of bonus-point wins rather than a single marquee matchup. Aldo Hernandez’s 15-0 technical fall at 141 delivered five team points and set the tone for a run of decisive results. Will Miller’s 18-5 major decision at 165 and Luke Uliano’s 14-0 major at 174 added two more bonus-point victories that widened the gap quickly.
Falls completed the rout. Bryson Terrell’s pin at 125 and Stephan Monchery’s pin at 285 were among the high-impact finishes that pushed the margin into unreachable territory. Those pins, combined with additional falls and majors through the lineup, produced the bulk of Appalachian State’s 52 points.
Davidson was unable to find an answer to the Mountaineers’ offense and bonus-heavy attack. Appalachian State’s balance of technical fall, majors, and multiple pins made this a comprehensive conference win in Boone.
