Wyoming @ California Baptist Recap
Wyoming knocked off California Baptist 28-12 at California Baptist University in Riverside, Calif., on November 22, 2025. The Cowboys’ bonus-point production was the decisive factor in the dual, turning a competitive meet into a comfortable win.
Sefton Douglass supplied one of the big moments by pinning No. 28 Cooper Shore at 125 pounds, delivering six team points and puncturing a ranked matchup. At 184 pounds Wyoming’s No. 14 Eddie Neitenbach rolled to a 17-2 technical fall, another heavy swing that added five more team points and widened the gap with a dominating performance.
The upper weights kept the pressure on. No. 7 Joey Novak added a fall at 197 pounds, giving Wyoming another six-team-point burst, and No. 26 Christian Carroll closed out the bonus run with a 21-6 technical fall at 285 pounds. Those four bonus victories — two falls and two technical falls — produced the bulk of Wyoming’s scoring and proved the clear turning point in the dual.
California Baptist was able to put together 12 points, but could not counter Wyoming’s stream of bonus results. With those high-value wins in key matchups, Wyoming picked up the 16-point road victory and left Riverside with a decisive 28-12 final.
