Missouri @ Northern Colorado Recap
Missouri defeated Northern Colorado 25-14 at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, CO on November 2, 2024. The dual was decided by bonus-point wrestling, with both teams trading majors early but Missouri collecting the higher-value results down the card to pull away.
Northern Colorado got big contributions from Dominick Serrano and Andrew Alirez, who each posted major decisions. Serrano beat Kade Moore 15-5 at 133 pounds and Alirez downed Josh Edmond 12-2 at 141 pounds, the pair of majors keeping UNC competitive through the mid-portion of the meet.
Missouri answered with a run of bonus-point victories that swung the dual. Cam Steed recorded a fall, worth six team points, and Keegan O’Toole added a 20-4 technical fall, a five-point effort that built separation. Colton Hawks’ 9-1 major decision and Aeoden Sinclair’s 19-11 major further padded Missouri’s edge and helped protect the lead down the stretch.
In the end Missouri’s string of bonus results proved decisive, offsetting Northern Colorado’s early majors and turning a close contest into a 25-14 final. The bonus differential was the story here, with Missouri’s pin and technical fall providing the margin of victory.
