Wisconsin @ Nebraska Recap
Nebraska used a barrage of bonus-point wins to beat Wisconsin 35-7 at Nebraska on January 31, 2025. The Cornhuskers scored heavily across the middle and upper weights to build a commanding lead and closed the dual out comfortably in Lincoln.
Wisconsin’s lone big result came at 133 pounds, where Zan Fugitt topped Jacob Van Dee 11-1 by major decision for four team points. That was Wisconsin’s only bonus score and kept the Badgers on the board, but it was not enough to blunt Nebraska’s momentum.
The turning point came in a stretch from 149 through 197 where Nebraska piled up bonus points. Ridge Lovett turned in an 18-3 technical fall at 149, and Brock Hardy recorded a pin at 141 to add six points. Later, Camden McDanel’s fall at 197 sealed the margin, and Nebraska’s string of majors and pins left Wisconsin with little room to respond.
Nebraska also collected major decisions at 165 and 184 and a major at 285 to finish with a full complement of bonus victories. Those extra points separated the teams and produced the 28-point final margin. Wisconsin showed fight in spots, but Nebraska’s bonus-heavy night carried the dual.
