Lehigh Men's Wrestling knocked off Arizona State Men's Wrestling 25-12 at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa., on February 21, 2025. The Mountain Hawks used a string of bonus-point victories to build separation and finish with a 13-point margin.

The dual turned when Richie Grungo recorded a fall at 165 pounds, delivering six team points and a decisive momentum shift. That was followed by two dominant technical falls: Rylan Rogers rolled to a 22-6 technical fall at 174 for five team points, and Michael Beard closed out the run with a 19-4 technical fall at 197 for another five points. Those three bonus outcomes accounted for 16 of Lehigh’s 25 team points and proved to be the difference in the overall score.

Arizona State picked up enough results elsewhere to reach 12 team points, but could not overcome Lehigh’s bonus-production in the middle weights. The combination of a pin and back-to-back tech falls created an insurmountable gap, leaving Arizona State short despite competitive bouts in other classes. The win underscored Lehigh’s ability to turn high-energy finishes into decisive team scoring.
