Clarion knocked off host Bloomsburg 40-3 at Bloomsburg University on December 19, 2024, collecting the kind of bonus-point haul that decided the dual. The Golden Eagles piled up tech falls, a major and a pin to build an insurmountable lead and leave Bloomsburg with just three team points.

Clarion’s offense featured multiple dominant wins. Scott Johnson ran Major Lewis off the mat, posting a 16-0 technical fall at 133 pounds, and Kyle Schickel did the same at 149 with another 16-0 technical fall. At heavyweight Austin Chapman added a 21-5 technical fall, all three bonus wins worth five team points apiece and quickly widening the gap.

The middle weights delivered the knockout blows. John Worthing’s fall at 174 provided six team points, and Adrian Gacek followed with a 9-0 major decision at 184 for four more. That stretch from 133 through 184 produced the decisive scoring run, as Clarion strung together consecutive bonus victories that made a comeback unlikely for the hosts.

Bloomsburg managed only three points across the dual and could not counter Clarion’s barrage of extra-point results. With the bulk of Clarion’s points coming via tech falls, a major and a fall, the team left Bloomsburg with a 37-point margin and a convincing road victory.
