Utah Valley @ Air Force Recap
Utah Valley defeated Air Force 32-6 on February 13, 2026 at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado. The Wolverines put the dual out of reach with an onslaught of bonus-point wins while Air Force was limited to just a couple of decisions.
The decisive factor was Utah Valley’s collection of bonus victories. Geronimo Rivera, listed at #33, posted a 15-0 technical fall at 133 pounds. David Evans, the team’s #16 at 149, followed with a 20-4 technical fall. Jack Forbes closed the scoring in the heavyweight slot with a 17-2 technical fall, and those three techs alone supplied 15 team points.
Utah Valley also picked up majors that helped pad the margin. Ian Fritz earned a 13-3 major decision at 157 and Caleb Uhlenhopp, also marked #33, recorded an 11-0 major at 184. Those bonus-point results, combined with the technical falls, created a scoring run that sealed the dual long before the final whistle.
Air Force was unable to counter the surge of bonus scoring and never recovered. The 26-point final margin reflected Utah Valley capitalizing on several lopsided matches and converting opportunities into extra team points.
