Navy defeated Lehigh 21-15 in Annapolis, MD on January 17, 2025, in a dual that came down to bonus points. The Midshipmen’s ability to secure a fall proved decisive in a close meet where both teams picked up multiple bonus victories.

The biggest swing came at 133 pounds when Brendan Ferretti of Navy pinned Logan Wadle, earning six team points and giving Navy a crucial boost. That fall offset Lehigh’s late rally and supplied the margin Navy needed in a match where decisions alone would not have been enough.

Lehigh answered with two heavy bonus wins of their own. At 125 pounds Sheldon Seymour scored a 10-2 major decision over Nick Treaster for four team points, and at heavyweight Owen Trephan dominated Ben Farabaugh with a 17-2 technical fall for five team points. Those performances kept Lehigh within striking distance and showcased the match-level intensity on both sidelines.

In the end the single pin separated the squads. Navy’s bonus-point victory at 133 pounds proved the decisive difference in the 21-15 result, while Lehigh’s major and technical fall ensured the final margin stayed tight. Both teams walked away with notable individual efforts to build on as the EIWA season continues.
