NC State @ Duke

NC State topped Duke 36-9 in Durham, NC on February 18, 2024, cruising to a 27-point dual victory at Duke University.

The Wolfpack piled up bonus points throughout the evening. Troy Hohman rolled to a 16-0 technical fall at 125 pounds, Vincent Robinson followed with a 20-10 major decision at 133, and Tyler Tracy added an 11-0 major at 141. Ed Scott’s fall at 157 was the biggest swing, worth six team points and turning a solid lead into a commanding advantage.

A string of bonus-point victories, with technical falls from Alex Faison (22-5 at 174) and Trent Hidlay (18-2 at 197) plus Brock Delsignore’s 15-4 major at 184, created an insurmountable gap for Duke. That run of majors, techs, and a pin across the middle weights accounted for the bulk of NC State’s scoring and decided the dual.

Duke avoided a shutout when heavyweight Connor Barket answered with a fall over Chase Horne, but it was too little too late. NC State’s depth and ability to convert matches into bonus points determined the outcome in Durham.
