Bucknell wins at Bloomsburg, 34-9
Bucknell won eight of 10 bouts and recorded five bonus wins — a fall, a major decision and three technical falls — to post a 34-9 dual meet victory at Bloomsburg University on Feb. 23, 2026.
BLOOMSBURG, Pa. — Bucknell defeated Bloomsburg, 34-9, at Bloomsburg University on Feb. 23, 2026.
Bucknell won eight of the 10 bouts and supplied five bonus outcomes — a fall, a major decision and three technical falls — that produced the final margin.
Bloomsburg took the first two matches. At 125 pounds Jace Schafer beat Kade Davidheiser 14-6 by major decision, building separation with an early takedown, a second-period reversal and a riding-time point. At 133 Austin Pollard secured a 29-14 technical fall over Bryce Manera.
Bucknell answered with a string of bonus wins. Vinnie D’Alessandro recorded a fall at 141 to put Bucknell on the board. Riley Bower closed the 149-pound match by technical fall, 16-0, in a first-period sequence of takedowns, near-falls and riding time. No. 25 Noah Mulvaney recorded a first-period technical fall, 18-2, at 165. No. 15 Myles Takats added an 18-6 major decision at 174.
The middle weights produced decisive decisions for Bucknell. No. 32 Cade Wirnsberger edged William Morrow 5-1 at 157, with the deciding sequence coming in the third period when Wirnsberger recorded an escape, a takedown and a riding-time point. At 184 Tyler Bienus posted a 4-1 decision. Dillon Bechtold added a 10-3 decision at 197.
No. 33 Logan Shephard closed the dual at heavyweight with a 22-5 technical fall, recording multiple takedowns and a late riding-time point.

Bucknell’s mix of falls, technical falls and a major decision supplied the bonus points that produced the 34-9 final. Bloomsburg’s two wins came in the opening weights, both by bonus margin, but the home side did not secure additional victories.
