Penn State swept Indiana 46-0 in State College, Pennsylvania on January 14, 2024, cruising to a shutout in the Big Ten dual. The Nittany Lions piled up bonus points across the lineup, leaving no margin for a comeback.

A middle-weight barrage did most of the damage. Aaron Nagao put up a 19-4 technical fall at 133 pounds, and Carter Starocci answered with a 19-4 technical fall at 174, each worth five team points and widening Penn State’s lead. Aaron Brooks added another big bonus with a 19-4 technical fall at 197, continuing the run of dominant finishes that defined the dual.

When it came time to close the evening, heavyweight Greg Kerkvliet delivered a 14-2 major decision over Nick Willham, turning the final bouts into insurance points and sealing the shutout. Those bonus results, combined with near-constant dominance through the middle weights, were the decisive factor in the final score.

Penn State’s ability to finish matches and convert opportunities into bonus points made the difference in this one. Indiana couldn’t find an answer to the spate of technical falls and majors, and the Nittany Lions left with a comprehensive 46-0 dual victory.
