George Mason @ Lock Haven Recap

Lock Haven defeated George Mason 33-6 in Pennsylvania on January 25, 2024, cruising to a 27-point victory in the MAC dual. The difference came from a series of bonus-point wins and a decisive major decision that built an insurmountable lead.

Anthony Noto’s pin of JB Dragovich was one of the night’s biggest moments. Noto’s fall delivered six team points and helped tilt the dual firmly toward Lock Haven. Wyatt Henson added a 21-5 technical fall over Nate Higley, a five-point bonus that padded the margin, and Nick Stonecheck’s pin at 149 produced another six-point swing.

At 197 pounds Brad Morrison put the finishing touch on the night with a 10-1 major decision over Ruben Karapetyan, worth four team points. Those four bonus results combined for 21 of Lock Haven’s 33 points, a disproportionate share that underscored the visiting team’s ability to finish matches.

George Mason managed just six team points in the meet and could not overcome Lock Haven’s string of bonus scoring. The pins, the tech fall and the major decision were the clear deciding factors as Lock Haven claimed the dual.
