Pittsburgh edged Bucknell 18-13 in a December 7, 2025 dual in Pittsburgh, PA. The short, tight meet turned on a handful of ranked matchups and one bonus-point result that kept the outcome close down the stretch.
Briar Priest at 141 provided a spark for Pittsburgh, upsetting Dylan Chappell 4-2 by decision. Bucknell answered back at 165 when Noah Mulvaney (#28) scored the meet’s only bonus win, downing Jared Keslar (#29) 10-1 by major decision for four team points and a momentum swing for the visitors.
Bucknell piled on two more ranked decisions later in the card. Myles Takats (#21) beat Luca Augustine (#15) 5-3 at 174, and Dillon Bechtold (#13) handed one of the night’s biggest shocks by topping Mac Stout (#5) 4-1 at 197. Those wins kept Bucknell competitive and highlighted strong individual performances across the lineup.
In the end Pittsburgh’s 141 upset and additional scoring in the other bouts proved enough to finish with the five-point margin. Mulvaney’s major decision was crucial in keeping Bucknell within range, but the Nate-level wins for Bucknell were all decisions, and Pittsburgh’s total across the lineup closed out an 18-13 victory.
