Central Michigan Men's Wrestling topped Ohio Men's Wrestling 28-9 in a February 4, 2024 dual at Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, MI. The Chippewas pulled away thanks to dominant bonus-point performances that created the decisive margin in the meet.

Sean Spidle at 125 pounds and Vince Perez at 133 pounds delivered technical falls, Spidle beating Ryan Meek 20-3 and Perez defeating Malachi O'Leary 17-1. Each technical fall scored five team points and handed Central Michigan emphatic wins in those weight classes, removing any room for a narrow outcome.

The biggest single swing came at 285 pounds when Bryan Caves pinned Jacob Padilla, earning six team points for Central Michigan. Those three bonus-point victories combined for 16 of CMU’s 28 team points and were the clear difference in the final score, limiting Ohio to nine team points overall.

Ohio was able to put together nine points across the other bouts, but could not match Central Michigan’s three bonus results. The Chippewas’ ability to secure tech falls and a fall separated the squads and resulted in a 19-point road victory for Central Michigan.
