Wyoming defeated Air Force 27-9 at the United States Air Force Academy on February 14, 2025. The Cowboys collected the bonus points that decided the dual, turning tight moments into a comfortable margin in Colorado Springs.

Three technical falls provided the backbone of Wyoming’s victory. At 149 pounds Gabe Willochell beat Alec Viduya 17-2 by technical fall for 5 team points. Eddie Neitenbach followed with an 18-3 technical fall over Gage Musser at 184 pounds, also worth 5 team points. Joey Novak added a 16-1 technical fall over Owen Heiser at 197 pounds for another 5 team points. Those bonus wins were the clear high-impact results of the day.

Those three tech falls accounted for 15 of Wyoming’s 27 team points and created a gap Air Force could not close. The remaining points were enough to secure the 18-point margin, but without that run of bonus victories the meet would have been much closer.

Wyoming’s ability to convert dominant individual performances into team bonus points made the difference in this Big 12 dual. Air Force collected nine team points but was unable to offset the string of technical falls, and Wyoming left the Academy with the road win.
