Maryland Men's Wrestling beat Wisconsin Men's Wrestling 25-13 at Maryland’s facility in College Park on January 17, 2025. The dual came down to bonus points, with Maryland’s cluster of major decisions ultimately creating the margin over a Wisconsin team that also produced big wins.

Wisconsin’s Nicolar Rivera ripped off a 17-2 technical fall at 125 to deliver a five-point swing and keep the Badgers competitive. Maryland countered with four major decisions that were decisive. Those bonus-point victories provided the backbone of Maryland’s 25 points.

In the end the dual was a battle of bonus scoring: Wisconsin’s tech fall and two majors kept the Badgers close, but Maryland’s string of major decisions, along with other team wins, delivered the 12-point victory in College Park.
