Harvard @ Navy Recap
Navy defeated Harvard 32-9 in Annapolis, MD on January 18, 2025, in a dual meet that was decided almost entirely by bonus-point victories. The Midshipmen piled up the kind of decisive finishes that made the difference on the scoreboard, leaving Harvard with just nine team points.
The turning point was a run of bonus wins that produced the bulk of Navy’s scoring. Josh Koderhandt’s fall at 141 delivered six team points and kept momentum on Navy’s side. Dylan Elmore added a 15-2 major decision at 165 for four more points, and Danny Wask’s 22-7 technical fall at 174 was a backbreaker for Harvard, worth five team points. Ben Farabaugh closed the dual at heavyweight with a 16-1 technical fall, another five-point bonus that sealed the margin.
In all, Navy earned 26 of its 32 team points from bonus-point victories, an overwhelming share that the Crimson could not overcome. Those high-impact results, rather than a string of close decisions, defined the meet and created the 23-point final margin.
Harvard scored nine points but was unable to convert any of its opportunities into bonus points against a Navy lineup that finished aggressively. The Midshipmen’s collection of pins, majors, and technical falls made this a decisive dual in Annapolis on January 18.
