NC State Men's Wrestling defeated Stanford Men's Wrestling Team 27-13 at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC on February 15, 2025. The Wolfpack’s advantage came from a string of bonus-point performances that created a gap Stanford could not overcome.

Stanford’s highlight came at 133 pounds, where Tyler Knox downed Kai Orine 9-1 by major decision to grab four team points and keep the Cardinal competitive. That major decision was Stanford’s most decisive result on the night and stood out among otherwise limited scoring for the visitors.

NC State answered with multiple bonus wins that ultimately decided the dual. Ed Scott scored a 13-3 major decision at 157 to earn four team points, and Matty Singleton added another major decision at 174 with an 11-2 victory. The Wolfpack also collected two technical falls that proved particularly damaging: Dylan Fishback went 16-0 at 184 and Isaac Trumble closed with a 19-3 technical fall at heavyweight. Those bonus-point outcomes accounted for the bulk of NC State’s total and put the dual out of reach.

In the end, four bonus victories for NC State and one for Stanford separated the teams, with the Wolfpack prevailing by 14. The combination of majors and technical falls from NC State supplied the decisive margin in Raleigh.
