Michigan swept Central Michigan 39-0 in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan on February 25, 2024, as the Wolverines collected a string of bonus-point wins to cruise to a shutout in the dual meet at Central Michigan University.

What decided the dual was Michigan’s ability to finish matches. The Wolverines produced six bonus-point victories, including three technical falls and multiple major decisions, turning individual stoppages into team momentum and preventing Central Michigan from breaking through on the scoreboard.

Highlights included Nolan Wertanen’s dominant 16-1 technical fall at 125 pounds and Sergio Lemley’s overwhelming 28-10 technical fall at 141 pounds, both worth five team points. Austin Gomez added another decisive technical fall at 149 pounds with a 21-6 win that further padded the margin. At heavyweight, Lucas Davison’s 16-3 major decision provided a strong closing punch, and Michigan’s other major decisions, including Dylan Ragusin at 133 and Jaden Bullock at 184, filled out the bonus scoring that produced the 39-point margin.
