Sacred Heart @ Binghamton Recap
Binghamton Men's Wrestling rolled to a 43-3 victory over Sacred Heart at Binghamton University on February 9, 2025. The Bearcats piled up bonus points in several key bouts to build a commanding margin that Sacred Heart could not overcome.
Dillon Arrick provided an early momentum swing with a pin at 133 pounds, a six-point boost for Binghamton. Carter Baer followed with a dominant 17-2 technical fall at 165, adding five more team points and showcasing control in the middle weights. Brevin Cassella pushed the advantage further with a 19-3 technical fall at 174, another five-point bonus that all but sealed the outcome. Cory Day closed the scoring on the heavyweight end with a fall at 285 to cap the night with an emphatic finish.
A stretch of multiple bonus-point victories — two pins and two technical falls among the most decisive results — created an insurmountable gap on the scoreboard and defined the dual. Those bonus results turned single-match scoring into substantial team swings and prevented Sacred Heart from mounting a comeback.
Binghamton’s 43-3 margin reflected an efficient night of putting opponents on their back and racking up techs. Sacred Heart was held to just three team points, while the Bearcats collected the kind of bonus-laden performance that decides dual meets.
