Oklahoma @ Rider Recap

Oklahoma beat Rider 26-15 at Rider University in Lawrenceville, N.J., on Dec. 14, 2025. The Sooners collected the bonus points they needed to pull away, while Rider picked up a key upset that kept the dual competitive late.

What decided the meet was Oklahoma’s string of technical falls. Layton Schneider ran up a 19-4 technical fall at 157 pounds, Carter Schubert (#15) took a 20-5 technical fall at 174, Brian Soldano (#11) rolled to a 22-2 technical fall at 184, and DJ Parker closed his bout with an 18-3 technical fall at 197. Those four techs produced 20 team points and were the primary margin, giving Oklahoma the cushion it needed against close decisions elsewhere.

Rider’s biggest moment came at 125 pounds when Tyler Klinsky (#25) upset Conrad Hendriksen (#23) 4-1 by decision, a three-point swing that kept the Broncs in the match. Brock Zurawski (#22) also came in ranked and was handed a technical fall by Parker, further illustrating how Oklahoma’s bonus production overwhelmed Rider’s resistance.

In the end Oklahoma’s ability to secure four tech falls outweighed Rider’s ranked win at 125, producing the 11-point final margin. The dual featured several high-end performances from the Sooners’ upper weights and one notable upset that prevented a larger deficit for Rider.
