Lock Haven @ Bloomsburg Recap
Lock Haven knocked off Bloomsburg 35-9 in a Mid-American Conference dual at Bloomsburg University on January 21, 2024. The visitors piled up bonus points to build a decisive margin, while Bloomsburg’s lone high-impact result was a fall at 125 pounds.
Bronson Garber gave Bloomsburg its highlight, pinning Logan Sallot at 125 for a six-team-point swing. Lock Haven answered with several dominant victories: Gable Strickland ran away with a 19-2 technical fall at 133, Nick Stonecheck finished 149 by technical fall at 17-1, and Colin Fegley put together a 21-4 technical fall at 184. Those bonus-point wins supplied the bulk of Lock Haven’s scoring.
The dual was decided by Lock Haven’s string of bonus results. The three technical falls erased Bloomsburg’s momentum and, combined with additional major decisions on the card, stretched the lead to a comfortable margin. Bloomsburg managed a quality individual performance in the pin, but could not overcome the steady accumulation of bonus points by Lock Haven.
In the end Lock Haven’s ability to convert several matches into tech falls and majors made the difference, sealing a 35-9 road victory in Bloomsburg.
