Evan Frost paced the attack at 133 pounds with a 17-2 technical fall that pushed Iowa State’s margin. Cody Chittum matched that dominance at 157 pounds, also winning by technical fall 17-2, and David Carr delivered a pin at 165 pounds to add maximum points and effectively seal the team outcome. MJ Gaitan’s fall at 174 pounds further widened the gap and underscored the physical edge Iowa State carried through the middle weights.

Iowa State finished with seven bonus-point victories overall, including major decisions at 125 and 141 pounds and a technical fall at 184 pounds, which turned what might have been a close dual into a lopsided score. Those bonus results were the decisive factor, creating a scoring run that left Utah Valley scrambling for answers.

Utah Valley managed just three team points in Ames, while Iowa State’s combination of tech falls, majors, and pins produced the 41-point margin. The Cyclones’ ability to convert multiple opportunities into bonus points made the difference on the scoreboard and delivered a comprehensive home victory.
