Wolfpack Quad

The Wolfpack Quad at William Neal Reynolds Coliseum in Raleigh, North Carolina, on December 21, 2025, brought four teams and five duals together for a compact, bonus-heavy day of wrestling. NC State finished the night 3-0 with a plus 70 team differential to lead the field. The Citadel and George Mason each went 1-1, with the Bulldogs posting a plus 15 and the Patriots a minus 5. Buffalo struggled in the standings at 0-3 and minus 80 despite a few individual highlights.

NC State’s depth and bonus-point production decided the quad. No. 1 at 125 Vincent Robinson opened things with technical falls, including a 19-4 win over The Citadel’s Tyler Washburn and a 21-6 technical fall over Buffalo’s Zach Belverio. Isaac Trumble, ranked No. 2 at heavyweight, piled up falls and a technical fall across his matchups, and Ryan Jack, the No. 7 at 141, added a technical fall and a fall. Will Denny at 165 and Matty Singleton at 174 also supplied bonus points, and Koy Buesgens recorded a fall at 149. Those bonus victories provided the cushion NC State needed even as a few matches went the other way.

George Mason and The Citadel traded big individual wins that affected the duals. George Mason’s Ben Monn pulled an upset at 125 with an 8-0 major decision over NC State’s Brad Yokum and later scored a fall over Buffalo. DJ McGee, the Patriot at 157 and ranked 14, picked up a fall and a major decision, including a 12-1 win over NC State’s Latrell Schafer. The Citadel got strong work from Gylon Sims, who scored a technical fall at 125, and George Rosas, who recorded back-to-back falls at 141 against Buffalo’s Jordan Joslyn.

Buffalo came away without a dual victory but produced some individual fireworks. Magnus Bibla’s fall over George Mason and Connor Jacobs’ 9-1 major decision were bright spots in an otherwise tough night. In the end NC State’s accumulation of technical falls, majors, and pins across the lineup was the difference in the quad.
