North Carolina Men's Wrestling edged Navy 20-18 at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on November 15, 2025. The dual came down to bonus points and a handful of ranked matchups as the Tar Heels held a narrow two-point advantage at the final whistle.

North Carolina collected several bonus-point wins that proved crucial. At 125 pounds, Kysen Terukina (#22) posted an 11-1 major decision over Andrew Binni for four team points. Laird Root added another major decision at 157 with a 12-3 victory over Charlie Evans, also worth four points. The biggest swing for the Tar Heels was Bryce Hepner (#22) pinning Dylan Elmore (#32) at 165, a fall that scored six team points.

Navy kept the dual tight with its own high-scoring performances. Danny Wask (#6) dominated at 174, winning by technical fall 17-2 for five team points, and heavyweight Spencer Lanosga (#12) closed with a 17-3 major decision over Nolan Neves (#22) for four points. Navy also got an upset at 141 where Caedyn Ricciardi (#31) knocked off Luke Simcox (#16) by a 3-2 decision.

In the end, Hepner’s fall supplied the extra margin that separated the teams in a back-and-forth meet. With bonus points on both sides and several top-25 clashes, North Carolina held on for the 20-18 victory.
