Edinboro Men's Wrestling rolled to a 43-3 victory over Sacred Heart in Edinboro, PA on December 20, 2024. The 40-point margin left little doubt, as Edinboro piled up bonus points to create an insurmountable lead.

The deciding factor was Edinboro’s bonus barrage. Anthony Ferraro provided a highlight with a fall over Jake Samuels at 141 pounds, and Ryan Burgos followed with a pin of Vincent Milazzo at 149, each worth six team points. Ryan Michaels delivered a dominant 20-2 technical fall at 157 for five team points, and Nick Lodato closed the run with a 19-4 technical fall at 197, also worth five team points. Those four matches accounted for the bulk of the scoring and swung the dual firmly in Edinboro’s favor.

Sacred Heart’s only points came via a decision, but they were unable to match the bonus production from Edinboro’s lineup. The combination of pins and tech falls not only expanded the lead quickly but also forced the match into a comfortable margin that Sacred Heart could not overcome.

Individually, Ferraro, Burgos, Michaels, and Lodato stood out for compiling the bonus points that decided the night. Edinboro’s ability to finish matches and rack up tech falls made the difference in a comprehensive home win.
