NC State Men's Wrestling topped Appalachian State Men's Wrestling 34-12 on November 15, 2024 at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. The Wolfpack pulled away with multiple bonus-point wins that built a gap Appalachian State could not overcome.

The decisive sequence came in three bouts that supplied the bulk of NC State’s scoring. At 125 pounds Vincent Robinson recorded a 20-5 technical fall, a five-point swing that put pressure on the visitors. At 157 pounds Ed Scott followed with a 23-6 technical fall, adding another five-team points and widening the margin. The night was sealed at heavyweight when Isaac Trumble recorded a fall over Levi Andrews, a six-point bonus that effectively put the dual out of reach.

Those bonus victories accounted for 16 of NC State’s 34 points and created the clear turning point in the meet. Appalachian State amassed 12 team points but did not pick up a bonus-point victory to counter the Wolfpack’s extra scoring. The combination of two technical falls and a pin made the difference more than any single decision bout could have.

NC State’s ability to generate bonus points in key matchups carried the dual. Appalachian State competed throughout, but without a major, tech fall, or pin to swing momentum back, the Wolfpack maintained control and closed out a convincing 34-12 home win.
