Davidson edged Virginia Military Institute 21-16 in Davidson, N.C., on Feb. 15, 2025, picking up a narrow SoCon dual meet win. The match came down to bonus-point bouts that swung the team scoreboard in both directions.

Davidson’s biggest contributions came from Anderson Heap and Bryce Griffin. Heap’s 11-1 major decision at 157 delivered four team points, and Griffin’s 21-4 technical fall at 165 added five more. Those bonus-point results gave Davidson a cushion that proved critical in the final tally.
